Just The News-
The Washington state Supreme Court has ruled that efforts can proceed to recall a Seattle City Council member who allegedly let protesters into City Hall during last year’s social justice protests.
The state’s highest court announced the ruling Thursday, denying Council member efforts by Council member Kshama Sawant, a socialist, to stop the recall.
“Big biz and the right wing are furious about the impact of socialist politics and social movements in Seattle & how we have inspired working people around the country,” the Kshama Solidarity Campaign tweeted. “They are now trying to use the courts & their deep pockets to overturn Councilmember Sawant’s 2019 re-election.” more
Recalls are interesting since the results provide hard data about what the public accepts and doesn’t accept, what it wants and what it doesn’t want.
Bye, Bye *itch.
She’s gonna win and then sue. Cmon it’s Seattle
For most political bad actors, I be grudgingly satisfied if they’d just go away and I’d never hear of or from them again.
Not Sawant.
I live in Seattle. The people here will never vote her out. Even if they did they’d just put someone worse than her in her place. They’re incapable of making rational decisions.
