I’ve long said the data on the Wuhan virus in no way matched the hysteria visited on most of the U.S. and the world. Whether “cases,” hospitalizations, deaths, masks, lockdowns, or anything else of the like, time and again, we’ve seen that the actual data reveal that our efforts to “slow the spread” have been largely useless and thus unnecessary. In other words, time has revealed the truth on the Wuhan virus. As I noted back in August of last year, short of an effective vaccine (which, at the time, didn’t seem as though it was on the near horizon), each of us is going to get exposed to the Wuhan virus, and our health outcome will be determined by how our Creator made us and what treatments are given to us.
The rise in hospitalizations and deaths over the holidays, and the subsequent steep decline we’ve seen over the last several weeks, has little to nothing to do with masks and the like. The rises we saw during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season likely would not have been as severe if we had allowed for more herd immunity to occur during the summer and early fall of 2020. In other words — and again, short of an effective vaccine — the increase in cases was always going to happen; it was just a matter of when. more here

Hopefully it will fit straight up his ass!
Since the TX mask mandate was lifted in my area of Central TX, Hays Cty, every place I go there are still at least 90% wearing masks! I have been watching people and they put their mask on in their car before they get out. It appears they are conditioned to wear it like a seatbelt and if it isn’t on they probably feel uncomfortable. I watched a young couple with a baby in a restaurant put a mask on every time they stood up at their own table to tend to their baby. Another person was putting the mask on between meal courses. This just doesn’t bode well for mankind.
Hm. I don’t even wear a seat belt. I also hate motorcycle helmets. What kind of person does that make ME?
^^^^ NEANDERTHAL??
LOL
I find when the ratio tips most people will follow the herd. If they are being worn they wear them. If more than half are not wearing masks most people seem to follow suit like at some outdoor festivals. When we visited Fort Meyers beach a few weeks ago. All our Indians friends, even the mask nazis soon followed suit and reveled in the freedom. As the mask mandate in Indiana (except in the D capitol) expires tomorrow, I am hoping compliance even with large chain store mandates starts to fall away similar to when it first started and people were loathe to wear a mask. Without the mandate I am hoping the enforcers lose power of those avoiding conflict. Maybe the hot weather will help.
No kidding.
as I have mentioned already, they are made in Chyna, Contaminated with Graphene, and cause “early pulmonary toxicity”

MI here.
Our gov will keep the mask mandate going forever, just cause she’s a vile bthci.
…it was never NOT a lie.
…ALL of it.
…a LIE.
I see a lot of confusion out here now. There’s usually a sign on the door that says masks are required for entry, but little or no enforcement. So what is it: do they have a mask policy that they aren’t enforcing, or have they abandoned that policy but never took down the sign?
I guess the only way to know for sure is to carefully and secretly take down the sign, go to someone who works there and say “This sign fell off the front door”, then come back in a day or two and see if it got put back up.
@Jason:
Q: You know what doctors call motorcyclists who don’t wear helmets?
A: Organ donors.
I used to clean surgery rooms at a hospital. I know what happens to people who don’t wear seatbelts or helmets.
@Christy944: short of BANNING the mask, I don’t see it ever going below half the population. And even then, who knows. Face it: we’ll die surrounded by morons.

…yep. I used to sponge cranial contents off my ambulance cot after transporting the helmet less, from the guy who hit the back of a car and went clear over it headfirst into the front bumper (back when they were pointy and chrome) to guys who did face plants after standing a bike up and over with too much front brake, to bike dumpers who rolled away into rocks and who ragdolled into car hoods after getting hit by a car.
It ain’t pretty.
…OTOH, some things a helmet doesn’t help with.
…I seen a guy that went over his handlebars…except for his nut sack. THAT stayed with the bike, we found it later complete with some jeans on the bar end nut.
…I don’t think a helmet would have helped.
Or the time we went to a call on a walled on-ramp for a bike accident on a dark night in bad weather, and found a wrecked bike but no rider…until someone pointed a light UP.
He was folded over the top of the wall. Not really a helmet thing, either.
…or the guy who had a weak generator on a dark night when his freinds said he was toasted and wend bucketing off down a 4 lane highway. The truck that didn’t see him before it knocked him off his bike into the middle lanes probably didn’t kill him, but the 5 cars that subsequently ran him over sure as hell did. We had to treat it as a hamzat incident for the blood and body parts. The interstate was closed from rail to rail as we hunted remains, and the morning sun found an abandoned highway that looked like it has measles from the spray paint used to mark the found locations of erstwhile parts of a former entire human.
A helmet wouldn’t help here, either.
…I had a Basic Trauma Life Support book that repeatedly said a motorcyclist is essentially a high-speed pedestrian.
That’s actually a pretty good description from a trauma management point of view.
…but you know what, life is risk. Probably wasn’t the sanest thing to get up at 2 AM and go blazing down the road in oversized vehicles as the bars are letting out, only to run through highway traffic to pick up bloody human meat chunks.
And the bikers that live are characters. EVERY rice burner pilot could give a crap about the bike and actually seemed done with biking after losing a yard of skin to road rash…but every Harley rider, if he was conscious, would ask “Is my bike all right?”, and made it clear they’d rather we put the hogg in the ambulance and leave THEM on the side of the road until it was taken care of.
I’ve known and worked with a number of MC riders, Iron Horseman affiliates mostly, and they DO live to ride, just like the leathers say. It’s no joke to them, it’s a lifestyle.
So do you, I guess, as long as you know and accept the risks and don’t burden others for your aftercare. All men die whether at pain or at peace, so you may as well die doing what you enjoy, the way you enjoy it…
I understand stores requiring employees to wear masks.
It’s a legal liability thing.
I remember who won’t serve me if I refuse to wear one. Fewer of those lately.
Plenty of other establishments to give my money to.
At best, I raise my neck gaiter to gain entry, but it comes down for the rest of my shopping experience.
What concerns me more are the elderly customers I have that are full-bore on the mask and vaccine train. If they choose to drop me, I have too many customers as it is. I’d rather have less problematic ones. It’s a self-correcting problem, as I see it.
Today I had one that contradicted herself 3 times during our conversation. She stuttered when I pointed out those things are why I won’t get the vaccine. ‘So why are you wearing a mask if you’re vaccinated? What are you worried about if you’re protected?’ No answer. We didn’t even get to the mark of the Beast thing yet. She’s a believer and she hadn’t even put 2+2 together yet on the passport thing.
I’m considering collecting the proof against all this crap and just handing them a card with the info and where to find the sources for their own verification.
The great reset by the governments is pure evil and plays on weak, fearful people. Alas, I am sad there are so many among us. It does not bode well.

My answer to a fearful Reg nurse friend who freaks out I have some fast bikes – and her snide BF who makes derogatory remarks about it every time I see them:
I make sure to look the wimpy lefty dude in the eye when I first told him ‘I am a man who does not live by fear (like you – implied). After 50+ years of putting my life at risk that way, I’ll go when the Good Lord wants me to and not a day sooner’. Now I just shrug and smile.
I definitely wear a helmet. Now I know what to get Jason for a present.
Benito beat me to it by a ways Jason.

“Now I just shrug and smile.”
…some can, and some can’t.
One time, I amused myself by going to my day job working on cars after nights running the roads and whenever I got a nice, grisly motorcycle accident, I would tell my buddy, who had just got a nice, new, shiny crotch rocket.
He sold it after about a month of just me talking about other people’s injuries.
Life IS risk, but risk requires courage.
Or naked stupidity.
Some have one, some have BOTH.
THIS guy had NEITHER.
So no risk for HIM.
…and no FUN, either…
Here’s a clue folks… States that have eliminated the motorcycle helmet law did so under pressure from insurance companies. Their reasoning was/is that insurers would rather pay out a one-time death benefit rather than foot the bills of a 25-y-o’s paralyzed or vegetative care for fifty year$.
The masks have nothing to do with preventing the spread of the China virus. The evidence is overwhelming that masks do nothing to protect people. The demon-crats know this. It’s all about control of the population.
MissinMI, Maine’s Gov, General Mills has the strictest mask dictate in the country and the Dim controlled legislature lets her have solo power for as long as she likes.
Ugh
I’m sending her this article.
I sent another a couple of weeks ago and got a ling double speak email from an aide.
I responded that they are socialists and only interested on more power and spending.
Funny thing – went to a local upscale Restaurant (one run by Chef Bohannon, no less) on Sat. night – the ONLY people wearing masks were staff.
No masked customers in sight.
One does draw certain conclusions…
Masks seem to me to be B.S. However, if you want to wear one then go for it. M.C. Helmets work and I’ve been wearing them for 57 years and by the grace of God I’ve survived. Motorcycling in inherently dangerous…as is horseback riding. My dear wife has spent time in hospital from H.B. accidents…and still loves riding. This is her choice (she wears a helmet) but H.B. riding is MORE dangerous than M.C. riding but public opinion seems to treat M.C. riders as dirtbags and H.B. riders as enlightened folks. Crazy world…
It’s hard to believe that so many people have made their fear, a virtue, and their masks- a fetish.
It’s also hard to believe that these “ready-to-comply” people are the descendants of those who won back to back World Wars.
