There is no such thing as “compassionate conservatism.” There is just conservatism. If you qualify it, you’re tweaking the principles.

CNN – Former President George W. Bush on Sunday called on Congress to tone down the “harsh rhetoric” on immigration, adding that he hopes that doing so will “set a tone that is more respectful” of immigrants and lead to more reform.”I do want to say to Congress, please put aside all of the harsh rhetoric about immigration, please put aside trying to score political points on either side. I hope I can help set a tone that is more respectful about the immigrant, which may lead to reform of the system,” Bush told Norah O’Donnell on “CBS Sunday Morning.”

  4. Yeah, he’s real passionate getting us into an endless war in the Middle East just because they tried to kill the elder Bush. His compassion has killed many Americans, and what did we get out of it except for Bin Ladin and Hussein’s death? It wasn’t worth the compassion Bush.

    I don’t hate him like I do those greedy malevolent dems, I think he tried to act honorably and with compassion, but his failures were entirely of his own making. He needs to just go away and shut up.

If you follow the developments in Mexico, particularly southern Mexico after the NAFTA deal, and how they were dealt with by both the Mexican and American governments and the agricultural corporations moving into Mexico, you will understand that it was the Bush family that engineered the “migrant” crisis we have today.

    It was done deliberately to prevent a full fledged revolutionary revolt of the Mexican peasants against the Mexican government that was starting to develop at that time.

    Not that anybody really cares about real history, or much less wants to talk about it. They’re way too happy with things the way they are.
