  1. Thank you for posting my Miss Min this Sunday, Lady C, I appreciate the memories.

When she came to use as a rescue, she was just a scrap of a dog, but a scrappy dog indeed, although she tended to be more cat than dog in a number of ways. Her bark sounded more like a mew, she had pointy, almost batlke ears, and she IMMEDIATELY took charge of all humans and other animals in her kingdom because SHE had decided it was HEr forever home, and WE sere simply to OBEY!

We don’t know how old she was at the time, the vet guessed a couple of years, and someone somewhere had “fixed” her, so no puppies. No problem, she was plenty by herself, and after designating Mrs. SNS as her main human, she went on to be the boss of anyone who entered her presense for the next 13 or so years, including boxers and pits that were MANY times her size and strength, all would kneel before her and obey!

The second picture was a fave, she only had a couple more years with us at this point and she was soon to go blind, but here she was getting full value out of a pair of the wife’s carelessly discarded pants AND a soulful look at the camera. This was so good that I asked our Mr. Hat to render it on canvas, which he did with great success, although he did ask me if I wanted the pants in or out, and even learned to paint pants when I asked for “IN!”. It was QUITE sucessful on his part and we display it proudly today, you can see it and details of her passing on these links.

Lady C also has a picture of her from the very end of her life, but in in Mini is quite gray and taking what’s almost her last breaths attended by loving human and dog family, and she felt and I agreed that it was a bit too sad for a sunny Sunday. Better to remember her as she was in life and health, and how she is today at the feet of the Lord where she waits for her Mama still.

Thank you for posting this, Claudia.

    And happy Sunday everyone.

    God Bless,
    SNS

“Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”
    Romans 8:21

P.S. – I have a conure, Chico, who Mr. Hat has also rendered as art ( https://iotwreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/sns-copy.jpg), who picked up her name from frequent use. When he gets excited (and he’s a conure, so that’s a LOT), he calls out “MINI! MINI!”, just like he used to hear US do.

…I still don’t have the heart to tell him…
