2) Conservative Cowgirl (Charly) This is Charly who is my son’s favorite vaulting horse and owned by the equestrian vaulting club he competed with for years. This is his ‘begging for treats’ face. He also loves playing ‘catch my tongue and having it pulled’ 🤪 When he retires from competitive vaulting and dressage Charly will go live on my son and dil’s horse farm! Meanwhile, I visit and bring him love and treats.
3) Lake Monster (Chloe) AKA Princess Guttersnipe Fancypants. She was the runt and a touch special needsy, so I kept her when I rescued her and her sibs from a bad urban area… I have a soft spot for runty little tardicats. Closeups are never a problem with her — she’s a total lap whore and a ball of pure loving sweetness… well, catnip turns her a bit bloodthirsty, but mainly she’s an adorable baby.

  3. Was driving the old three in the tree pick up down the cottage road in the early eighties.
    Out of the blue a most wonderful incident occurred.
    A Lynx jumped out of the woods and ran down the road bounding from side to side for about a hundred yards before dissapearing into the bush.
    I can replay that image in my minds eye,yeah it was way cool.
    Will never forget that

    …just kidding. Beautiful horse. All today’s animals are lovely, and a nice reminder that the Lord does still make totally innocent little (ok, sometimes big as a horse) loving souls as a sign of His love for us.

  10. To avoid confusion, Chloe’s the one whose nickname is Princess Guttersnipe Fancypants, not me. These days I’m likelier to be in torn camo shorts and a scroungy t-shirt. She’s the one prissing around in her fluffity calico finery.

    We’re a blessed crew, to have such companions.

    You are right…when they decide to make someone’s lap a good place for a snooze it’s hard to get them off. Very occasionally, they hiss at the prospect of having to leave such a comfortable place.

    The guy kittie is a devil. He loves to camp out between me and the laptop. I move him over, but he is relentless and comes back after a couple of seconds. Can’t get mad at him though. He’s a good boy.
