  1. If he’s in a blue town, then he’s screwed. But at least the feds will leave him alone since the perp he stabbed isn’t black. Yes, that’s really how our shitty excuse for Laws work in our country now.

“Also, slashing is better than stabbing when you have a choice.”

…combos are good, too. Bring your knife hand to your left (his right) side and slice his belly open left to right, then come back to the left with a kidney punch. Rotate the knife after stabbing to remove a plug of flesh and organ for a more likely…final…resolution.

You can lose your knife in his flesh with a stab depending on how he moves, less of a risk of that with a slash. Plus, never seen anyone who could continue a fight with one hand while trying to hold his intestines in with the other, just sayin’…

  3. Jumping the counter put the clerk in immediate danger of assault or murder.

    It’s clearly self-defense.

Experts say shoot to kill, why is defending oneself with a knife any different?

  4. Dr. Tar: some comments on YouTube say that the store owner obviously thought his things were better than the other person’s life.

I have an idea. Anyone who thinks his life is more important than things maybe shouldn’t jump over a counter like that. When are these leftists going to realize that the more they let criminals get away with things, the more brazen they become. Victim cowers in the corner while being robbed? Then the criminal assaults (or worse) the victim just because. Let criminals know there is a huge price to pay for criminal activity and, surprise surprise, the rate of criminal activity goes down.

  5. I’m thinking that was a box cutter. He was poking triangle shaped holes and it would probably have snagged in the hoody if he tried to make a slash. He did fine, IMO

…he did, indeed, do fine, the results speak for themselves, but it wasn’t maximizing his opportunities if things didn’t go right.

Thing about stabbing from the side is that if you’re too high or too low, there’s bone not far in that can block, embed, or even break your weapon, depending on what it is and how brittle it is. Yes, it will hurt and bleed a bit, but you’re not going to put him down with a stab to a rib and now he may have your weapon and a fresh reason to use it.

…all I’m saying is that you can have more than one intention, and really should, and they should flow into one another. If you come across as I said, your first intention is to slit his belly open and let his guts tumble out like wet, bloody laundry, but if you miss, the hoody foils you, or you hit belt, you flow right into your SECOND intention of the kidney punch with the tip as a pretty natural body motion. You can go further and have a THIRD intention flowing from the second where if it IS deflected or you don’t think the first two were effective, you can draw up his side into an armpit and maybe make a junctional bleed in the axilla that can be quickly catastrophic and very hard to staunch as it’s super vascular and a tourniquet won’t work there, and so on and so forth, you get the idea.

It does help to have some experience and/or training with this. And if you’re not willing to draw blood you have no business picking a knife up. It’s a close-in weapon that can EASILY be turned against you, and in REAL knife fights BOTH combatants get bloody. You hesitate about ANY of this, you die.

That said, depending on your threat level assessment, weapon, training, and the situation as it unfolds, there ARE non-lethal options if you want to get cocky. In this scenario he could have gone high and went for a slash across the forehead. This wouldn’t do much damage unless you contacted an eye, but it WOULD bleed profusely, causing him to be unable to see because of the literal blood in his eye and forcing him to disengage at least long enough to wipe it out, which gives you ample time to decide what to stick next. you can also, getting back to lethal, slash across the throat and then come back in the ear, although a hoody drawn tight around the face can foil this attack pretty well.

    Everything’s situational.

…all of this has a VERY high probablity of you going to jail though, especially if you say you planned it or thought about it, so your world-facing statement is “I was scared for my life and just wanted him to go away, so I waved my knife around to make him leave”, or words to that effect. Saying “I planned and executed an attack designed to kill this guy” is almost a guarentee that an unsympathetic jury will see to it that the next knife you see is a shank in prison. It’s on you as to whether or when to engage, how lethal you need to be, and what you’re going to say about it afterwards, and decide in the split second as the guy hops your counter.

The only death I am not prepared to explain is my own.

But remember, I’m a comedian, this is only a joke. You laughing yet?

    Giggle giggle chuckle snort!

  7. I think he may have a difficult time convincing people his life was in danger. The guy threw a punch “after” being stabbed 3 times.

Best chance he has is jury nullification where the jury gives him a pass no matter what the lawyers argue.
