Police have launched a manhunt to find the brother of ex-NFL star Aqib Talib after he allegedly killed a football coach during an argument between parents at the end of the match in Lancaster, Texas.
Yaqub Talib, 39, is now wanted on charges of murder after he allegedly shot the youth coach dead at the under-9s children’s football game on Saturday evening.
Lancaster Police Department say Talib was involved in a physical altercation with the referees on the field before opening fire at Lancaster Community Park in southeast Dallas County.
Video of the shooting shows a man wearing a black hoodie and hat pulling out a gun and firing.
In the chaotic footage shot from the side of the field, parents can be heard yelling and arguing amongst one another with some talking to match officials at the culmination of the game before a scuffle breaks out on the grass.
Within the seconds, the brawl grew larger as more people ran to either join in or break the group up.
Five gunshots then rang out before the coach was seen lying motionless on the field.
Frantic parents could then be seen making calls to 911 on their cellphones as children who were witness to the killing were quickly ushered away.
‘They were upset about losing. Dude came on the sideline and said it was going to punch the ref, so the ref called the game,’ fellow coach Heith Mayes told Fox 4.
‘It’s just not that important. It’s not. It’s not that serious,’ coach Kerry Lewis added. ‘No one should be coming to a nine-year-olds’ game and be fearful for their life or maybe my son gets shot while playing football. This has to stop.
‘His son witnessed him getting shot and murdered on the field. These kids are innocent. They shouldn’t have to witnesses what they witnessed,’ Lewis said.
Friends and family identified the man who was killed as Mike Hickmon, who coached the Dragon Elite Academy team.

I have three kids that played every sport imaginable from 5 years old to 18. I’ve witnessed some really ugly behavior from white upper class parents that are live their athletic dream vicarious through their children. Baseball, Basketball, and Football, all the team sports actually are really bad. I’ve broken up a couple fights. Me and another guy pulled the Basket Ball League President off some crippled old man he was trying to beat the hell out of. And the old man was in the right. I witnessed a hire dollar real estate attorney threaten to KILL a football coach because his kid wasn’t first string QB. But the absolute worst was a baseball coach (ours) threatening a 14 year old kid that took a summer job as an umpire. The kid had tears running down his face. Next game we had a new coach.
