  1. It’s not as though any of those votes would be beneficial to the Republic. Don’t worry, they’ll be back for a lame duck session to pass all of their wet dream bills.

  2. without working in the “people’s house during the month of October, wouldn’t it be appropriate to withhold 1/12 of their annual income… I don’t want to pay these slacker while they campaign for policies I oppose…

  3. That’s kind of amazing. Shows that he can’t push anything else through, which is great. After the election, assuming GOP wins majority they won’t allow anything to happen until January.
Well we would assume that McConnell would ensure that.

  4. After a grueling year of selling America to our enemies Shumer is out of steam. He needs to spend quality time with his Russian, Chinese, North Korean, Venezuelan, and Cuban pals collecting IOUs. They all owe him lots of money and Schumer intends to collect. The hell with what’s going on in the Senate. Right Hunter?

  5. Two thoughts:
    1. As others have said, they cannot get anything done, so why bother
    2. They are concerned that they will lose the Senate, so give the incumbents more time to campaign.
I am confident in the first piece. I think the 2nd has a good possibility, but will call shenanigans if (when) the dems start pulling polling tricks.

  7. His chamber!? HIS chamber!?!? Motherf****er!!
It’s supposed to be the chamber of We,The People.
And you’re supposed to represent us and the state that elected you into office.

  8. Is it that he doesn’t think he could get anything passed in October, or is it that the Dems in the Senate don’t want to be on record as voting for the crap they want to pass until after the election — which they figure they are going to lose — and want to give the votes a big monodigital salute?
