  1. I suppose I could afford two dollars from the thousands the slot machines in my liquor store bring in. I splurged four or five years ago and bought a ticket when the jackpot was a mere 500 million.

  2. @Uncle Al: Exactly. In our household, we judge the value of many frivolous/unnecessary/silly expenditures against the price of a drink. Since we’re not going to bars, we have a few bucks to spare for other nonsense. Plus: no need to tip and no hangover.

    So: Y’all wanna pool our resources and pay off our mortgages and fund IOTW forever?
