  1. I was visiting my company’s factory in Suzhou in 2008. While riding in a taxi we passed a place where people were selling and buying stuff – like a roadside market. While we were waiting for a traffic light I saw a woman reach into a cage like box and pull out a live rat by its tail. She was buying a fresh rat for dinner.

  3. There’s a nice little Chinese take out just down the road a few miles. Only the guy up front speaks Engrish, all ya hear is ching chang chong from the back – I think they’re all right off the boat. The fried rice, egg rolls, and wonton soup are all good.
