JTN: President Donald Trump went after President Joe Biden during an interview on “John Solomon Reports” Tuesday, saying the Chinese government is likely to have paid for access to classified U.S. documents, which were supposedly left behind during the Democrat’s time at the Penn-Biden Center, a think tank in Washington, D.C.
“The fact is that China was paying, through Penn, which, you know, I went to school at Penn, I went to the Wharton School of Finance. I love Penn. But they were paying all of this money to Joe Biden,” the former POTUS said. “And they have the Biden Center there. And I would imagine — they’re paying all this money — I would imagine they had absolute entrée into those documents. And they saw those documents. And those were major places.”
Trump cited the figure of “$54 million” with regard to money Biden’s center received from Chinese donors, adding, “And [UPenn] paid [Biden] almost a million dollars a year. They kept it slightly under a million. Like $998,000, or something. So that this way, they can say probably, if somebody ever gets wise to it, ‘Gee, we didn’t pay him a million.’ You know, it sounds a lot less.”
The 2024 presidential candidate then expressed doubt that these were the only documents in Biden’s possession and marveled at the surreal nature of his situation. MORE
