Climate change, as defined by the United Nations: “Refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, such as through variations in the solar cycle.” That’s actually a good definition.
But not willing to leave well enough alone, the UN goes further, spoiling a simple and straightforward definition with: “But since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.”
It is amazing that before humans burned fossil fuels two centuries ago, it was only natural cycles that changed the climate, not backyard barbecues, gas stoves, and SUVs. Yet the UN does not explain how previous ice ages developed due to global cooling, followed by melting of mile-thick ice over the upper Midwest due to global warming, multiple times over the Earth’s history, long before there was any significant human activity.
It seems that a changing climate was a thing long before Al Gore, Greta Thunberg, and the UN thought they figured it all out. Not only does the climate change, based on both short- and long-term cycles, but much of it is also unpredictable. According to the Intragovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), “The climate system is a coupled non-linear chaotic system, and therefore the long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible.”
Climate change had other names over the years. In the 1970s it was “global cooling” with predictions of a coming ice age. NPR, the guardians of all proper knowledge and thought, first used the term “global warming” in 1989. It doesn’t make sense, at least to most logical people, that the planet can be both warming and cooling on a global scale, outside of normal seasonal variations, so the term “climate change” was popularized to encompass all weather events. How can they claim it is “science” to use 200 years to show a pattern of a planet that is millions of years old?
They Ignore past extremes, even for the past 200 years.
They also ignore changes in methodology. I read a few years ago that snow fall is measured on a platform that is measured and cleared every 12-24 hours and the results are added up whereas previously the platforms built up over a period of days. Considering that snow is heavy, the snow would compact so a week’s worth of snowfall would obviously be seem to be less than the new method would indicate.
They also use yearly statistics and compare it with statistics from the past that are for decades or sometimes centuries. Obviously the yearly changes will seem more extreme than averages over longer periods of time.
“Science,” in quotation marks, is the new religion and anyone who commits heresy must be banished.

someone needs to remind science. the earth is a catastrophic planet. while the earth has plenty of examples of evolution. the earth also has examples of catastrophe. the science is based of evolution and ignores the catastrophe. lethal mistake. im sure plenty of these climatists cannot come to terms with the fact that they are spinning around on a earth circling the sun in an outer finger of the milky way with no control of the expanding universe. the thought of millions of catastrophic events within the universe every second is unimaginable for most.

Climate Change has been going on for millions of years already. There are no guaranteed climate scenarios anywhere on this rock and there never have been.
Blame the lying media. All week long the weather reports have been accompanied by some loon blaming climate change. No mention of the last 8 years being cooler than average.
Presently, there are approx. 55 giga-tons of carbon life on Earth. We are 1% of that, and Oxygen-generating/CO2-drinking plant life on land and in the vast oceans, lakes and other bodies of water dominate all carbon life on earth.
Cutting down to 100% of all so-called, human-caused CO2 won’t mean spit, and no one will notice any measurable difference in a lowering of the average Earth CO2 level and/or temperature rise long after the Climate Bolsheviks have long destroyed Western Civilization.
Once these Climate Bolsheviks find a way to reduce the average CO2 one to two-hundred-ppm (present world average is about 385-ppm), the Earth will, generally, be plunged into a cascading, extended Ice Age and mass extinction will ensue.
Without our massive dormant and active volcanism on lands and in the oceans, the Earth would likely have already been a frozen Mars.
A well hidden fact. Carbon content of the earths atmosphere is .04 percent. They’ve taken ice core sample at the Arctic. As deep as they can go, it always been .04 percent. Man made global warming isn’t even a good scam.
