State Farm and Progressive think some Kia and Hyundai car models are too risky to insure, and are temporarily not writing insurance policies for them in some cities.
The two insurance companies are not offering policies for some Kia and Hyundai models that have been victim to a skyrocketing number of car thefts, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in Missouri and Denver7 news channel in Colorado reported, citing conversations with local car owners and insurance agents. The cars are being targeted by thieves who are taking advantage of a key issue that makes them easy to steal. Drive
My advice? Buy a nice, safe, dependable vehicle like a Tesla. Just hope it doesn’t burst into flames while recharging or drive off a cliff while on auto pilot….
Next up? Kia and Hyundai will form a car insurance company.
Gay. Who the fuck can identify a Kia, or a Hyundai? Total faggotness all around.
My trucks are all Fords
My cars are a Subaru
Both cut snow like butter

I’m not likely to change.
So, why not simply lobby for changes to criminal law, say “open season” on car thieves, no bag limit? It would stop the problem faster.
This total degradation of our society is rooted in the Soros/Obama campaign to undermine our Constitutional system.
Are the cars the problem or are these cities the real problem?
Huh, can’t the insurance companies just drop theft?? Keep the other coverages?
Tesla writes its own insurance policies for its owners.
If car thieves were treated like horse thieves were in the Old West, there would be far fewer stolen cars. Hang em high!
I wonder if they’ll ever het around to doing that with people who got the jab…
“CLAIM: An increase in death benefits paid out by life insurance providers in the third quarter of 2021 in the United States provides evidence that the COVID-19 vaccines, which became widely available in 2021, led to a spike in deaths.
AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. The claim wrongly attempts to tie COVID-19 vaccines to a surge in deaths in the U.S. in 2021. Insurance industry leaders say the delta variant of the coronavirus and deferred medical care during the pandemic likely contributed to the increase in deaths. Even as millions of people
got vaccinated against COVID-19 in 2021, reports of death after vaccination remain extremely rare, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.”
Nah, nothing to see here, move along. AP has got you covered and will make sure you stay covered. Stop asking stupid off-topic questions, Thirdtwin.
Manual transmission – the best theft deterrent there is…
Kids now adays wouldn’t even begin to know how to shift a 3 on a tree manual transmission on older cars. For most of us who are baby boomers, a manual transmission was all we had on our first cars when we learned how to drive.
My 2018 Jeep is manual. So are the windows and door locks. I had to special order it. I hardly ever lock it.
And I don’t have to worry about a window getting stuck open or closed UNLIKE ALL OF OTHER DAMNED CARS I’VE OWNED IN THE LAST TWENTY YEARS.
Geoff,
that would certainly work on our criminal career pols.
The real cure for fraudulent elections, too.
