    …this person has never, EVER, in ANY capacity worked with a security guard, or they’d never say something so stupid.

    And any LEO who’s worked with security guards won’t consider them “backup”.

    …that’s what makes Twit so wonderful. People who have never lived any life or done any job are experts on how everyone else should conduct themselves in everything.

    I might point out also that in many cases the training requirements for an armed security guard are much tougher than that of a flat foot.

  7. Security guards USED to be LEO, both active and retired, and retired military, true. I posted many times before that this was so.

    USED to be.

    Most businesses have long ago decided that such worthies are too expensive and opted to use teenage girls and soibois as scarecrows because they are cheaper, and also because they don’t actually WANT them doing anything. The modern world does not reward loss prevention, and frequently sues over it instead.

    Another category is older retirees, who may be brave and skilled, but are also just marking time and fighting boredom and getting a bit of supplemental income. These are well aware that the companies they work for will not support them, and don’t want to spend their sunset years in court, in jail, or dead for an employer who isn’t paying them enough anyway.

    I’ve worked in retail, in factories, and in hospitals. All have security guards but only hospitals UPGRADED to cops. I’ve seen three different private security providers at just ONE of my jobs in the last few years and each has its own contingent of the literally mentally challenged, the 90 pound girl, the 300 pound woman who never leaves the booth, the cynical old guy, the young guy who thinks hes a cop, and the young people that only do it for five minutes then move on to better paying things in different fields.

    They dont even let cops in SCHOOLS now, so unless you are talking about a bank, a hospital, or a corporate boardroom, you’re not going to get any value out of most security guards in terms of actual emergencies and deadly situations.

    Ask one. I do, I’ve known several current and ex and they will tell you the same thing.

    In most cases random private citizen would be better.

    I’m always accused of being too long so I’ll stop there.

    But I can recite former and current outrages from now till next week if you like.

  8. Although I consider the shooting “justified”, the video illustrates the foolishness of sending out female cops (especially alone) to do a man’s job. Far more likely to be challenged by a violent perp, and when to fight begins, their only defense is their gun.

  9. Tony R is 100% correct. Her training did not fail her, her ego did. The very second he became threatening she should have put her interrogation on hold and called for back up. Negligence put her in this position. And to be fair, a male cop should have acted the same way, there is no need to confront someone threatening or violent on your own.

    Male cops do not like having females as their beat partner, for situations just like this.

  10. Rich: There are a plethora of YT videos showing male/female police teams when the violence starts, the male does the fighting while the female dances around offering no help. Not always the case, but often enough.

  13. If a proper shooting review is conducted, the first question should be ,”Officer, a few seconds into the encounter he said,’I won’t move and will kill any fucker that comes here’, didn’t you perceive this as a threat and why didn’t you disengage and call for back up?”

    But, she is a woman, a protected class, and even remedial training is off the table.

  16. In my mind the real crime here is there’s no money left to care for our homeless vets. Some with mental problems. Why? because we’ve spent it all on illegal aliens, enough to equal the population of six states, and the rest goes to make Zelinsky Inc richer than fuck. Someone should be held accountable. Our vets deserve better than to be kicked to the curb.

  19. Have you seen how white cops have been treating black criminals as of late? They go on a wild car chase thru town for a few miles, crash into several cars, cops pit a carload of darkies and they all jump out and scatter like cockroaches. Cops finally catch up with them on foot one-by-one and very calmly cuff them and ask them “are you hurt?, do you need medical?” and of course every one of them have problems breathing or something hurts where they can’t get up and walk. No raising of voices, no pushing around, they’re literally treated better than a parent would treat their own kid throwing a tantrum.

  20. Personal opinion, women cops are a problem. They react based on emotions or fear. They tend to be trigger happy – shoot and ask questions later. They are better at counseling women and children in a crisis, than hand to hand combat or confronting a physical superior male. Hey, it’s just the way God created women. Very few exceptions.

    The vet in this video clearly doesn’t care (suicidal or violent tendency) about consequences of defying a cop, he’s not intimidated especially by a woman cop. He was counting on her backing off. In his unstable mental state, not based on reality he assumed bullying was all he had to do to stay on his tuff.

    Glad the woman cop survived this encounter, yet she needed a male cop with her to make that crazy homeless jerk think twice about a confrontation. Outcome still may have been the same, but at least the woman cop wouldn’t be alone.

    Sadly. because radical feminist influence some, in particular, young male cops today do react emotionally to a threat. However, most male cops who shoot a perp, aren’t operating emotionally, but more in a domination mode – eliminate/survive the threat and task completed – primary motivation. There is more calculation involve.

    Women and men are not the same in physical strength, behavior and emotion. Law enforcement would be better managed if they recognized the strengths and weaknesses of both sexes. The policing results could be much improved.
