Another item that passes the health check is the famous breakfast go-to for many, the Egg McMuffin.
The egg, cheese and Canadian bacon combo that creates the Egg McMuffin comes out to 310 calories, and features 17 grams of protein, 13 grams of fat and 30 grams of carbs.
‘This is a much healthier choice for breakfast than the Fruit and Maple Oatmeal which has 320 calories, but only has six grams of protein and 4.5 grams of fat, with a whopping 64 grams of carbs,’ Lara explained.
‘If you’re trying to watch your blood sugar or stay fuller longer, the protein and fat from the Egg McMuffin is the better option.’
The fifth recommendation is the chain’s chicken sandwich called the McCrispy, which is 470 calories and has 26 grams of protein.
But if you’re in the mood for a sweeter treat, they recommend the chain’s vanilla cone, which is only 200 calories per serving.
‘This soft serve ice cream contains five grams of protein and 15 per cent of the daily recommended value for calcium,’ Catherine told the New York Post.
I never heard of a nutritionist recommending the vanilla cone.
Wonder what they would say about the McCigarettes?
(Me thinks they have been hired by McDonalds to do this report.)
MAKES PERFECT SENSE, SIMILARLY, COORS HAS SAVED MY HEALTH
The only thing you need for good health is meat, eggs and beer…Not necessarily in that order.
I’m fine with both being fine and healthy options.
The oatmeal is better if you are going to be active, it will digest easier.
I know folks will complain about GMO and additives, preservatives but still, nothing wrong with a McMuffin, though I prefer sausage & egg.
personally I like the sausage biscuit every now and then for breakfast and they have pretty good coffee too.
Nothing is better for me than thee…
But I do enjoy pig fat with my oats!
GEEZUS LOCO, WE’RE TALKING ABOUT BEER AND YOU’RE TALKING HIPPIE SHIT
¡BENITO, I have to eat right for MY six-pack!
Canadian bacon = ham
Another thing I totally disagree with is folks that say ice-cream is bad for you?
All dairy is perfectly healthy to eat.
Milk, yogurt, ice-cream, dairy cream, butter, cheese, etc. is great for a healthy body & mind.
As for the lactose intolerant? GFY!
You aren’t intolerant, you just eat too much at once.

I haven’t patronized McDonald’s in 35 1/2 years. It’s nasty.
McShit.
If you haven’t patronized McD’s in over three decades, how do you know what it tastes like?
Well, loco, once you have eaten shit why would you try it again?
Do you eat dicks just to ascertain if you like them?
Are you saying that YOU’VE actually eaten shit anon?
I mean, of course you’ve eaten shit metaphorically on this blog many, many times but actual feces?
Oh well, to each his own…
McDonalds is consistently mediocre. It’s where the kids like to have a meal when we are on trips and we are just pulling off the highway for a quick bite. Dairy Queen beats McDonalds if there happens to be one, but there are McDonalds everywhere.
EXACTLY JDHasty.
McD’s isn’t meant to be gourmet.
You know what you are getting.
As someone who used to travel worldwide the eponymous nature of McDonalds was a good thing for a quick, cheap bite.
Now with labor being so high it really is going to strain the existence of fast-food.
Their muffins are dry, hard/tough/chewy, tasteless, and unappetizing to me. I guess a lot of people like them though, but I don’t get it. In my opinion, their breakfast options are the worst fast food breakfast options, for that very reason, when I’m on the road.
Pass. You’ll never talk me into buying anything like that.
It’s “reduced calorie diet” time for me if that’s the only option when I’m hungry in the morning.
The other option they describe is certainly bad and not ever an option for me either. Just because one is technically better than the other doesn’t mean the lesser is a good choice.
McD is almost as invisible to me as the racist-staffed Popeye’s here in Dallas. A distant second to Popeye’s, but second.
The best breakfast option for me was the breakfast burrito combo.
Sausage & egg, cheese burritos, hash brown, large black coffee…
Pro tip: Get some Ranch packets for dipping the burritos.
YUM!
Picked up a Hamilton Beach breakfast sangwich maker on Scamazon during their big scam-sale for $22 instead of $29 last week. I’m not big into kitchen gizmos that do nothing but take up space. But this thing takes up slightly more than the footprint of a breakfast sangwich. Since my wife quit making me sangwiches, I gotta make my own sangwich. You take the english muffin/croissant/bagel/hardtack/whatever and layer it in there with meat/egg/cheese. Wait 4-5 minutes, slide out the egg tray, then lift up the top and you got a breakfast sangwich. And it’s about 200 degrees hotter than any fast food joint with ingredients you made from backyard chickens and whatnot. *don’t buy what I buy, but I’m just sayin, I’ve been eating breakfast sangwiches the past week with great results and already saved enough versus McShit to pay for it, not that I eat their shit in the first place.
On Monday, Guinness announced that Currie and PuckerButt had topped their own record. Pepper X had officially clocked in with an average of 2.69 million Scoville Heat Units, far spicier than the Carolina Reaper’s 1.64 million. Scoville Heat Units are the common measurement to gauge a chile’s spiciness, with the jalapeño registering between 3,000 and 8,000 SHUs, although Currie said even the large numerical disparity doesn’t fully capture the difference.

Hot, hot, hot and too damned hot. No thank you, although it might be a good way to clear a nasty sinus congestion and scald your brain at the same time. I like a good hot sauce but this is beyond ridiculous. Taco John’s pureed green jalapeno hot sauce is the best, it makes my forehead sweat but doesn’t kill me like this Pepper X would.
Well Loco, it was nasty 35 years ago. Did it get better? If you like it, that’s fine with me. Enjoy.
Purely out of desperation we stopped at Micky D’s, off I-5, just before crossing the Cascades into Oregon, last winter. NO CUSTOMERS. Managed to get cashier’s attention. Was told I had to use kiosk. No. cashier would not take my order. Use the kiosk. Used the door instead. Would have been first purchase from McDonalds in about 20 years.
Kiosk suck- no.
Another reason I don’t like most of fast food.
Don’t like self check out either.
