I had a friend when I lived in Toronto, whose husband Gideon had been a member of the IDF. He fought in 1967 (the 6 Day War); 1973 (Yom Kippur) and in Lebanon in 1980. He said that they just shot any captured Muslims as they would slow them down otherwise. They did a mercy killing as they discovered a Muslim down a well with his legs broken (his fellow Muslims had done this to him). They shot him and moved on.

While I approve of the use of dogs to clear the tunnels, I think a more effective way to do it would be to use water. When a tunnel entrance is found, start pumping water into it. Use the whole Mediterranean if necessary.
