Sen. Nicole Mitchell, 49, of Woodbury, was being held in the Becker County Jail on suspicion of first-degree burglary, the AP reports. Formal charges were still pending Monday afternoon, Detroit Lakes Police Chief Steve Todd said. Dispatchers received a 911 call at 4:45am from a homeowner about “an active burglary in process at her residence,” Todd said in an interview. Officers searched the home and arrested Mitchell, Todd said.
It might be interesting to hear the whole story. Mitchell made an uninvited and unannounced visit to the house where her late father lived and where her stepmother still lives. My guess is there’s some kind of dispute over dad’s goodies.
I’ve never understood family disputes over estate issues, but have seen them over and over again in my extended families and friends.
Since she appears to be a solid demwit, they’ll find a way to clear her name.
Everybody has got to have a hobby….apparently not getting enough thieving in during the work week.
Every Democrat involved in government at any level could be arrested for that.
