Bob Uecker brought the Brewers to life for generations of fans. And that was just the start of a second career in entertainment that reached far beyond the ballpark.
Uecker, the backup catcher turned Hollywood star, and the legendary radio voice of his hometown team for more than five decades, has died. He was 90. More
Uecker was a great promotor for the sport he was so associated. His Tonight Show appearances were among the best segments for Johnny Carson. Watch
Local TV is giving him way more time as they did for Carter. And, rightly so.
He made Major League a better movie
Did you see a fan placed a can of beer at the foot of his statue?
I was never a Brewers fan, I was a Uecker fan.
Uecker has a seat reserved in the front row.
Even at his age he managed to radio broadcast all of the Brewers home games in 2024. I wonder if the Brewers will place a permanent empty seat in the Radio Booth with his name on it. They already have one in stands like that and no one is allowed to sit in it.
RIP Mr. Uecker. You always made me smile.

God speed Ueck
RIP Bob Uecker; I enjoyed your work and personality …even though your family misspelt “Euchre”.

He was a humble, funny man…
He had me rolling with laughter every time I saw him on the talk shows. He was better than 90% of comedians.
RIP
Always enjoyed him, I hope he’s in the front row in heaven.
