The Senate voted 77-23 on Tuesday to confirm former Georgia congressman Doug Collins as Secretary of Veterans Affairs, placing him in charge of the department responsible for providing critical care and support to America’s veterans.

Collins, a Republican and former Air Force chaplain, secured bipartisan backing, with all 53 Senate Republicans and nearly half of the chamber’s Democrats supporting his confirmation. The vote capped off a smooth confirmation process, as Collins faced little opposition during his nomination hearing before the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee in January. more

  1. So good! Another huge agency — which is so dear and near to Trump’s heart — that needs a thorough purge.

The only downside to all this winning is when we finally see ALL the fraud, waste and abuse that has been going on for decades. That’s a little hard to take. Our tax dollars have been spent on trans comic books for Peru and A LOT of veterans wait in a long line for sub-standard care. And that’s just one small example.

Thank you, God, for Donald John Trump. Bless him and keep him safe. Amen.
