Sen. Mitch McConnell falls twice at the Capitol, reports say

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Gray News) – Sen. Mitch McConnell fell twice at the Capitol Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

The Kentucky Republican had just cast a confirmation vote before he fell while walking down a small set of stairs near the Senate Chamber, according to NBC News.

Reuters reports McConnell fell a second time and walked away with the help of other Senators.

McConnell reportedly told witnesses he was “fine” after the falls, according to CNN. – kmvt

  2. If not term limits how about mandatory cognitive testing with double blind assessment by neural specialist. Those that are incapable of demonstrating competence are gracefully hustled off the political stage and banned from running for any further office. No age limit or start the testing at 80. Make it apply to all elected federal offices; legislative and executive.

    We can’t allow another Biden or McCain or Feinstein or take your pick from the current crop of octogenarian.
