A Vox writer got harpooned for criticizing how manly Ron DeSantis is

Not The Bee

Vox writer Aaron Rupar had a world-class comeback to Ron DeSantis’ thorough beatdown of wokeism the other night:

Yep, when you can’t beat them with data, logic, or teleology, try to own them by pointing out how strong and masculine they are. That’s sure to work!

  1. Oops. Just because history and genetics have shown that any species need the strong, doesn’t mean that the current media cannot disagree. However, in their world, there is no allowance for disagreement. I am not sure if that sentiment isn’t really a sideways acknowledgment that there may be traits in (most) males that are more desirable and geared towards continuing and even advancing the species.

I fully accept that, as a male, that I have some drawbacks – I will probably never stop the car to ask for directions, I will probably rarely admit I am wrong, I will probably agree with my significant other (even though I am probably right) because I do want certain benefits later this evening.

Having said that, expecting your audience to be a soy-boy / wishy-washy / woke as you are is almost guaranteed to be a loser.

Just my opinion. I do not intend to speak for everyone, especially the PJ wearing soy-boys. If you are offended, take a long walk off of a short pier. If you honestly want to argue and have a discussion and debate, bring it on. If you win, I will publicly admit it. I would put money on me coming out on top.

  2. IMO agreeing with your mate for potential later in the evening benefits has an overall negative and cumulative effect. Of course your situation is unique but the shit testing seems like it never stops.

  3. I think the dynamic the vox guy is doing is one is to bring down someone else that’s more elevated than himself.

Think all the way back to Kindergarten of how jealous anyone was if you did something that garnered positive attention from adults.

    “Must destroy!”

Vox guy hasn’t grown emotionally since he was a toddler.
