After Release of the 2 People of Interest in Smollett Case it is Clear Smollett Will Be Arrested Shortly

Police confirm that the 2 Nigerians were at the scene of the alleged attack, and after taking statements they were released.

This means that Smollett lied about being attacked and used the Nigerians as fake perps.

It’s not clear if the Nigerians were in on the hoax or were just patsies. It’s possible they were in on it and police have given them immunity for their story.

What’s inevitable, however, is Smollett’s arrest- that’s if the police keep their word. They said Smollett would be prosecuted if he filed a false report.

  1. When it comes to this Smollett thing, I’ll believe what I see happening when I see it happening.

    Until then, I’ll just watch things develop without predicting anything one way or the other.

  10. All of these instances of hate and bigotry toward Brown People…in the most racist nation on earth…whose President is “a White Supremacist/Leader of the KKK” (I literally heard this on ‘black radio’ when I worked in Atlanta).

    And they’re all fabricated. And this young man is incredibly privileged and successful, yet is still motivated to concoct such a story.

  12. I don’t see how you conclude anything else. Especially given the fact that the CPD acknowledged that those two men were the guys in the surveillance video and said (and I quote): “The reason why they were there is now central to the investigation and we can’t get into that at this time.”

    I’m certainly not saying that lynching isn’t bad, or laws against it aren’t appropriate. I am suggesting that actors act, and politicians do what they do.
