7. I woke up at 5 AM, my usual time except now it was 4 AM. So much for sleeping in, I turned on the idiot box and ended up watching Bugs Bunny and then the the Green Hornet. It’s only nice that the Sun is up by 6:30 AM for a while but the Sun setting at 4:30 PM and even earlier for the next month and a half or so sucks. Bring back Standard time all year round and quit messing with it.

8. My 22 year old asked how “adults” (old people) know it’s time to switch clocks. I told her: radio, local TV news (don’t watch, scan headlines on my phone), and that old-fashioned paper calendars usually print it. She said she saw it on Twitter, but she forgot the old adage, “spring forward, fall back.”

    Mabel the Basset loves the Fall time switch, she can sleep for 24.5 hours in one calendar day. Hey, a girl needs time to eat and go outside!

17. I love the critter pics.
    I woke up like a shot at 4:30 because our alarm goes off during the week at 5:30 and yesterday it was 5:30 but it was 4:30 this morning.
    Hopefully I can stay up a bit later tonight so I don’t do that again tomorrow.

18. Young Remington, the self appointed vermin killer, for some reason, came in late this morning. Every day, he jumps up on the bed about the time I head off to the salt mine. He doesn’t leave it until I arrive home after work. I’ll have to get you a shot of him and his big brother RuGrr, the Nazi dog, sometime. Remi’s a cat with an attitude. RuGrr’s a fat Dachshund.

22. I don’t usually post twice on Critter day, but I’m so thrown off by this one hour thing.

    Forgot to mention that Buds nicknames’ are the ‘butler’ or the ‘doorman’ and he DOES great us at the door I have to say.

    Also wanted to shamelessly plug a site that I set up for animal, nature and other cerebral vids, that IOTW’s might enjoy.

24. You only gain the extra hour of sleep if you were asleep before the first 2 a.m. I wasn’t. Didn’t make it into the skid until the new 3 a.m. It happens to unemployed natural night owls that no longer need to roll out at 6 a.m. I’m sure my cat missed out too.
