Alaska: Dem State Legislator Sara Hannan apologizes for saying Nazi experimentation on prisoners “produced results.”

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — A member of the Alaska Legislature has apologized for saying Nazi experimentation on prisoners “produced results.”

State Rep. Sara Hannan, a Democrat from Juneau, made the comment Saturday when House minority Republicans were attempting a vote on whether the Nuremberg Code — ethics principles for human experimentation written after the Nazi atrocities of World War II were discovered — was still valid, the Juneau Empire reported.

“I apologize for the words that I used on the House Floor yesterday,” Hannan said Sunday on social media. “I did not mean to imply any support for NAZIs nor their experimentation in any way. My remarks were incorrect, insensitive and hurtful. I am sorry and will strive to do better.”

Hannan’s comments came during an attempt from state Rep. David Eastman, a Wasilla Republican, to force a non-binding vote asking the Alaska House whether the Nuremberg code “remains just as valid today as when it was written in 1947,” the Anchorage Daily News reported.

  1. The left is totally invested in the ends justifying the means. Who knew?

I remember hearing at a young age: Hitler wasn’t all bad.

This was coming from adults who should have some ability to reason. I’m telling you that the bastards can rationalize anything irrespective and despite how horrific the consequences of their actions.

  2. “…produced results…”

Can we get the full quote, journo? We can handle it. Can you?

“Some opponents of COVID-19 vaccinations contend they are in violation of the code, created in the wake of Nazi atrocities and intended to prevent medical experimentation again.”

To prevent FORCED medical experimentation, journo. It’s almost as if you have an agenda to misinform.

“The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, which preserves the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp, said on social media in July that using the Holocaust to argue against a vaccination that saves human lives “is a sad symptom of moral and intellectual decline.”

Not using the Holocaust, Journo. Citing the NUREMBURG CODE. Your museum quote is not relevant here. Again, it’s almost as if you have an agenda of misinforming.

“State Rep. Andy Josephson, an Anchorage Democrat, told the Anchorage newspaper that comparing vaccination efforts and Nazi atrocities was “profoundly offensive.”

Again, how about focusing on Hannan’s Nazi-friendly quote, instead of providing snide slams, irrelevant quotes and false analogies about the valid question posed by Republican Eastman?

I’m beginning to question your motives, journo.

“She’s right, you know. They did cold weather and cold water exposure experiments on their non-vaccinated prisoners that produced knowledge still used by our military.”

…well, I hope they don’t use the parts where they put a frozen man with his wife, daughter, and stranger, all naked, and ordered them at gunpoint to sexually stimulate him to see if it helped him revive faster.

    Or so they said.

One of the most disgusting things I ever came across was an argument between two doctors as to what the cardiac consequences of hypothermia were. Frustrated at not winning the argument, one of them threw out “Well, the Dachau data says the final rhythm is asystole”.

The other doctor had a MOMENT of disgust, but then countered with “those experiments were poorly controlled. And I believe the final rhythm was bradycardia”.

Both of them had evidently read this data, Nuremberg or not, and evidently consider it still legit to consider despite its genocidal origins and basic scientific worthlessness, to try to score medical cred points if nothing else.

    Absolutely disgusting.

This ties back to what I said in a different thread about becoming inured to human suffering to the point where you lose your empathy opens the door to literally anything, including medical punishment and medical torture. One should NOT use data gained this way because it’s worthless, but ALSO because it’s inhuman to profit in any way from deliberately caused human suffereing, because that only devalues human life and makes CURRENT doctors think MORE human suffering is OK as long as it gets “results”

That’s where a Mengele comes from.

That’s ALSO where a Fauci comes from.

Forbidden fruit is forbidden for a REASON.

Anyone who profits from it, may as well be out freezing people for their religion themselves.

I’m sorry, but this is just morally reprehensible. There is nothing but genocide at the end of it.

    You’ll see.

    Maybe sooner than you think.

  4. I have a friend who is an MD and a PhD in molecular biology… He’s looked at the Nazi data… Lots of amazing stuff he said, but no one will use or site it..
    All normed for Jews..

He found out that his parents were German/Italian Jews after he was an adult…

  5. Well, y’know … Mussolini “made the trains run on time” … so there’s that.
Course, Mussolini was a Fascist (Italian Socialist), not a Nazi (National Socialist). But still a nihilistic totalitarian rabid dictator.

  6. Apologize?

Not good enough. You must be marginalized, ostracized, bankrupt, put in jail, cancelled and above all, you must be made to SUFFER what you have put us through.

No more Mr. Nice Patriot, dammit!

  7. General Malaise,

I hope Gov. Noem means what she says, but she’s been a little squishy lately.

That is an unfortunate picture they used. She doesn’t look well. Was this after the jab? She looks almost scared or confused. Certainly not confident. If this was taken when she made that announcement, I would question her resolve.

    But, hey, I’m not a Xpert! 😉
