A New York union leader whom Gov. Andrew Cuomo described as a “good friend” has “extensive ties to organized crime,” federal prosecutors alleged in court filings on Monday.
Hoping to keep labor bigwig James Cahill on a tight leash pending trial for corruption charges, prosecutors touted and previewed their evidence to the Southern District of New York’s Chief Judge Colleen McMahon.
