So the 20% work for some government position or on welfare?
I work in the petroleum industry, this year, definitely better.
I’m 68. Life would be a helluva lot better without the cost of everything going through the roof and having to contend with a craptastic intrusive government that wants to get us into a war in the worst way. The only good thing is I’m so old that hopefully I won’t see this country reach the end of the road it’s on.
Looking at stats from a year ago, the feds employ more than 7% of the entire population. I am guessing that if you limit that to working age people it would be closer to 10%
Pretty even up.
The piddling amount extra we made last year will be eaten up this year by inflation before mid-summer.
Absolutely worse off. I figure with inflationary pricing I’m making close to two dollars less an hour.
I’m lucky though in the fact that I work 2 miles from home and I’ll be able to bicycle when the weather gets better.
Now about work, we just put in a 200 thousand dollar order in for new lawn equipment to be told they could give us maybe 40% of our order and we’ll have to take what we get.(we sell Cub Cadet lawn equipment)
I work in a food processor, half military, half not.
In terms of having lots to do and making a ton of money on OT, yep, doing real good.
In terms of spending a ton of money on the 80 mile round trip to work so I don’t have to live in or near the Democrat ruined city, not so much…
Income the same or maybe a bit less, inflation through the roof…definitely worse off.
