Army field hospital for Covid-19 surge leaves Seattle after 9 days. It never saw a patient

KUOW-

Gov. Jay Inslee’s office on Wednesday announced that the state will be returning a field hospital deployed to CenturyLink Field Event Center to the U.S. Department of Defense.

The 250-bed facility, for which setup began on March 30, was intended to help Washington state’s health care system tend to non Covid-19 patients in the event of a hospital surge.

But just three days after announcing the facility was ready to receive patients, officials say they’re returning the hospital to the federal government.

The action is aimed at helping another state with a more significant need for hospital capacity at this time, according to the Governor’s Office. The facility did not see any patients during the time it was slated to operate in Seattle.

  1. Meanwhile there is other news happening. Not a word about the muslim truck driver who stabbed 4 women at a truck stop killing 3. The doctor who choked a teenage girl for not social distancing? Cops in Calif giving tickets to people just sitting in their cars at the beach? NEVER FORGET! (Of course you can’t remember if you were never told.)

  2. The WuhanFlu motel sites that were purchased “for overflow quarantine/sick Covid19 patients” all over King County will be used to house the homeless. The field hospital at Angels of the Winds Arena is a similar situation as Century Link Stadium. I read a story it’s being used to treat/house the homeless instead of overflow beds for sick patients from hospitals.

    We aren’t being told the truth about anything.

  3. According to AbigailAdams they should stick around for Round 2 {http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-kyWyqoReaT0/UTi3dJ09LOI/AAAAAAAAGVY/z75A2lmfYUU/s1600/Bugatuga_Edith+Labelle_3.jpg}

  4. I live in Washington. Inslee (like Cuomo) has only seen this whole ordeal as an opportunity to be the superstar, saving the world. I guarantee that Inslee is secretly VERY disappointed that his shelters weren’t overflowing and horrific. He wanted it to be that way so he could have the spotlight. Classic leftist; wants tragedy, needs tragedy.
