ATF “Expert” Unable to Disassemble a Glock

Daily Caller

The director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Steven Dettelbach brought a so-called “leading expert” to a Sunday appearance of CBS’ Face The Nation where he displayed a stunning inability to disassemble a Glock pistol.

Chris Bort, the ATF’s acting Chief of Firearm’s Ammunition Technology Division, hilariously struggled to disassemble a Glock slide, giving up after multiple tries and moving on to a different weapon. More

  1. I watched this earlier and laughed my ass off. The thing is he carries a gun. And that gun is a Glock. His attempt to put the G19 slide on a G17 was fairly entertaining too.

  2. Just so the non gun owners here understand. Listen up Loco, here’s how you pull your slide off.
Drop the mag. Cycle the slide back manually ejecting anything in the chamber. Manually slide the slide back, and lock it back with the slide lock lever. Inspect the chamber to insure it’s empty. After you are sure it’s empty press the slide release lever. Now decock the weapon. Dry fire it. After the weapon is decocked grab the two black slide release buttons on both side of the slide. Depress and slide the slide off. That sounds like a lot. But it’s not. Easiest gun there is to remove the slide. Unless you live in Las Vegas or work for the ATF.
