Balls of Steel- GOP Congressman enters Afghanistan on rogue mission to save Americans

PM-

United States Congressman Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) has reportedly gone on a “rogue mission” to enter Afghanistan and save Americans who were left behind. However, as of late Tuesday, US officials say they are unsure of Mullin’s location. According to The Washington Postthe Republican Congressman went on this one man mission while ignoring warnings from the State Department not to travel to the Taliban-controlled country.

The last communication US officials have from Mullin came in Monday when he contacted the US ambassador to Tajikistan. His request was unusual in nature. He requested a massive amount of cash be sent into the country, saying he planned on travelling into neighbouring Afghanistan to rescue five American citizens, a woman and her four children, stuck in the country.

Mullin had allegedly planned to use a helicopter to rescue American citizens. He explained his plan as he was calling from Tbilisi, Georgia and was flying into Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, only hours later.

To Mullin’s dismay, the answer from the embassy was “no.” They told the Republican Congressman that they could not violate Tajikistan’s cash limit laws and allow him to venture into one of the most dangerous places on earth. Mullin then allegedly threatened US Ambassador John Mark Pommersheim and his staff.

Currently, nobody knows where Mullin is and his office did not respond to multiple requests for comment from the Washington Post. “To say this is extremely dangerous is a massive understatement,” said an anonymous State Department official to the Washington Post.

  1. It’s now being reported here that he is safe in an undisclosed location. Biden’s administration is also threatening actions against him for threatening embassy officials.

Like I said I don’t like the guy for multiple reasons and he’s my Rep. that I voted for the first time around, his latest thing to piss me off is hugging that cowardly piece of shit who shot an unarmed woman and tell him he did what he had to do. However, this shit trying to make him sound like a criminal is bullshit.

  2. joe6pak, no he’s a plumber, his Daddy built the business and gave it to him. He honestly never did much work. His business grew by leaps and bounds after becoming a U.S. Rep. and so did his bank account.
His family also owns a cattle ranch.

He’s a little out there, all of his family is. Before he ran for office though he was just your normal beer drinking, gun toting Oklahoman.

Knowing some of the shit he’s done since becoming a politician I hope he’s really doing something and not just blowing smoke because his poll numbers took a nose dive after saying he hugged Ashli Babbitt’s murderer and told him he did what he had to do.

  3. Yep, that’s the one.
The sad thing is he seemed surprised that all of his constituents got so mad about it. That’s why I’m not fully trusting this.

However, if there is truth to it, it’s bs the way they’re acting like he’s a criminal. I wouldn’t put it past him though to make this big show that nobody can ever prove differently and then him come back and say he tried to make people forget his stupidity.

  4. It has to be tough figuring out if a politician is Solid or Useless in the US. Hugging that Byrd Shit and now trying to get some kids home is a tough one to figure out.

Up here, they are all useless assholes. Makes it a lot easier to vote and they do NOTHING HEROIC.

  5. What are his intentions? Grandstanding or will he willingly attempt to rescue US Citizens? We’ll know soon enough.

On the surface, he is attempting to do what Cowardly Biden and our Woke Military Failed to do, make an effort to save Abandoned US Citizens.

  6. cato, that’s what I want to know. I would say the people I’ve talked to around here and the people’s comments I’ve read on FB around here, it’s about a 50/50 split on what people think.

  7. I remember when he ran the first time, he guaranteed that he would only serve 2 terms, then quit. I think he’s on his 4th term now. A lot of people called him out when he ran for his 3rd term, be he had some “important” reason for running. I never cared for him at all after he reneged.

  8. Never tip your hand. Why tell anyone about your plans so they don’t screw you up. The dumb democrats running Washington would send in someone to take him out (or more likely call a pal over there). Hope is not a plan.
