Biden likens Trump to Fidel Castro

FOX: Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden likened President Trump to the late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro while speaking with Univision Orlando on Tuesday.

Trump has accused Biden of being a tool of the far left, claiming Democrats are pushing socialist ideas, but the former vice president turned that comparison around in an interview with the Spanish language outlet.

“Trump has more in common with Castro than with Churchill,” Biden said, adding, “Look who he admires. He admires Putin, he admires Xi, he admires everyone who behaves in an authoritarian way. I am the exact opposite. I have faith in the democratic system.”

Many of Florida’s Spanish-speaking residents arrived in the Sunshine State after fleeing socialist or communist regimes such as Castro’s Cuba. The former vice president is looking to gain ground among Hispanic voters in the battleground state as Trump held a narrow lead over him with that demographic in an NBC/Marist poll last week. The same poll had the two candidates in a deadlock for overall support in the state.

In 2016, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton beat Trump by more than 25 points among Florida’s Hispanic voters, according to exit polls, but Trump still won the state. more

  1. Come on man, joey if Donald Trump was anything like Castro he would have already rounded you up and all the rest of the democraps who oppose him and have eliminated you already. Shirley you can’t be serious. He’s not anything like Castro, the democraps and you are far more like Castro than Trump ever will be. Who believes anything he says, it’s all lies and bs.

Former Vice President Joe Biden said Monday he would return to Obama-era policies of engagement with Cuba and reverse the Trump administration’s sanctions if he wins the White House race in November.

“In large part, I would go back,” Biden said in an interview with a CBS affiliate in Miami. “I’d still insist they keep the commitments they said they would make when we, in fact, set the policy in place.”

  3. Biden was part of the team that actually lessened the embargo on Cuba and opened it up much to the chagrin of a lot of Florida Cubans. The sad Biden campaign accuses Trump of EVERYTHING it stands for.
