WaEx: A Canadian billionaire has reportedly been allowing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to hide out in his multi-million dollar waterfront mansion amid boiling tensions in the British royal family.
Frank Giustra, who co-founded Hollywood studio Lionsgate and has ties to the Clintons, owns the Victoria, British Columbia, home where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided on their plan to “step back” from their roles as senior members of the royal family, according to the New York Post. The report comes after the pair spent the holiday season in Canada.
In addition to producing movies such as American Psycho and Fahrenheit 9/11, Giustra, 62, was in the middle of a 2005 controversy when he and former President Bill Clinton traveled to Kazakhstan to meet with the former Soviet republic’s leader. Days later, he acquired shares in three of the country’s state-run uranium mines, which were valued at more than $3 billion. He then reportedly donated $31.3 million to the Clinton Foundation.
Both Giustra and Clinton have denied any wrongdoing; however, the producer found himself immersed in another Clinton scandal years later. read more
