They will target anyone who adheres to the Republican platform and upholds their campaigns promise to those who elected them. The same players who detest Ted Cruz have now recruited a straw man RINO to run against Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK), one of the most intrepid conservatives in the House of Representatives.
Jim Bridenstine is running for his third and final term to represent Oklahoma’s First Congressional District, as he has pledged to serve no longer than six years. But the Boehner, K Street-types cannot afford even one more term of a man who listens to the people of Tulsa instead of the special interests. Tom Atkinson, a wealthy owner of an oil company, has been recruited to run against Jim and has publicly promised to spend up to $1 million in this very cheap media market. more
The GOP has recruited a DC resident to try to oust my congressman, Walter Jones. He moves to the district to primary him every 2 years. This year is his third try. He is funded by the DC elite, but I don’t know how much they give him. The RNC sucks. One of the reasons they hate Cruz so much is his proposed flat tax. I takes away their power to enrich themselves. The progressive tax system has to go!!!!
Bridenstine is a stand up guy-unlike my POS GOPe Congressman Conaway-absolutely no hope of anyone ever trying to primary him in Midland-he’s Big Oil & Ag’s ButtBoy.
Foe example he just voted against a national recognition of another state’s CCP.
I might as well be back in CO-7 with the REgressive Perlmutter for all the representation I’m getting.

The GOP also tried to oust Dave Brat in VA-7. Their chosen candidate dropped out because of “behavior issues” that would’ve come to light with his estranged wife.
He reconsidered and is now running in VA-4 since Randy Forbes, R – prayer caucus, got redistricted. Forbes, who doesn’t live in his new district (which is majority minority), isn’t giving up his cushy job. He’s running in his new district.
Happy to say Jim is my congresscritter, and about as true-blue an American as we’ve got in Congress. When he first ran, I had my doubts, as we’ve seen so many seeming patriots turn into RINOs, but he’s stood the test.
Heard him with a Tulsa radio guy the other day, who made the point that, while Bridenstein is unlikely to lose, the contest will suck up the time and resources that could’ve been spent elsewhere. That’s how the Other Side works.
