It angers me to see my sons having to compete with “guest” workers, not only for jobs, but for graduate school slots, where the H1B pipeline really starts.
This has nothing to do with competency or productivity. It is all about lower labor rates.
There is also the herd mentality among CEOs. Much like what happened in the ’80’s and ’90’s with the “wunderkind” fad, hiring foreign workers is the new fad. Everyone who is someone is hiring them.
At least this bill will give some leverage to get the jerk out of office, when he comes up for reelection, though I think that he is positioning to “retire”.

Has Levin commented about this? He and Lee seem to be very buddy buddy and I’d think he’d have an opinion about it one way or another. All I can think of is that Lee is p*ssed he hasn’t been picked for the Supreme Court by Trump. So he’s exacting some payback.

Reps are supposed to be part of “We the people” not “it’s for my wallet and reelection”.
