Isn’t there an excise tax on electric utilities? Don’t users pay a tax on their monthly electric bill? Since these electric cars recharge from their owner’s electrical system, I would think that tax revenue is collected there and helps contribute to the state’s general fund.

I believe the tax revenue the socialists are talking about are the road use fees from gasoline sales. Granted, they charge their cars at their house, but not all the time. At my place of work, I saw this electric car being recharged off of the company’s electrical circuit. The douchebag didn’t recharge at home, he recharged every day at work so he didn’t have to pay for it.
