California Democrat concedes tight House race, securing win for Republican John Duarte

Just The News – California Democrat Adam Gray conceded a tight congressional race to Republican John Duarte, giving the GOP a projected 221 seats in the House next year with one Colorado race still undecided.

The state’s 13 Congressional District race had no incumbent because it was formed through a once-a-decade redistricting process. The district runs through a stretch of Central Valley farmland and has more registered Democrats than Republicans, according to the Modesto Bee newspaper.
