Campus Insanity Spreads to Ithaca

About 1,000 students of Ithaca College walked out of class yesterday, demanding the resignation of their President for not responding to alleged racial incidents on campus. Sound familiar?

Thousands of Ithaca College students walked out of classes Wednesday calling for the resignation of the college president ,Thomas Rochon. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).

One brave sole staged his own counter-protest in support of President Tom Rochon after the rabble broke up. He was subjected to a half hour of Mao-style questioning about his refusal to comply with the mob.

  1. I don’t suppose anyone, again, has viewed this from a most obvious — and positive — perspective.

    It appears the proglodites are doing for us that which needs doing anyway: tear the U.S. university system apart and start over.

    I’m actually enjoying this in a perverse way.

    God moves in a mysterious way
    His wonders to perform;
    He plants His footsteps in the sea
    And rides upon the storm.

    Deep in unfathomable mines
    Of never failing skill
    He treasures up His bright designs
    And works His sovereign will.

    Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
    The clouds ye so much dread
    Are big with mercy and shall break
    In blessings on your head.

    Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
    But trust Him for His grace;
    Behind a frowning providence
    He hides a smiling face.

    His purposes will ripen fast,
    Unfolding every hour;
    The bud may have a bitter taste,
    But sweet will be the flower.

    Blind unbelief is sure to err
    And scan His work in vain;
    God is His own interpreter,
    And He will make it plain.

    ~William Cowper

  2. This is likely not spontaneous. The speed at which this is spreading through the campuses shows earlier organization. Almost all the college students that I work with on a daily basis are nowhere near this organized. Does everybody hear the cricket sound coming from the White House?

  3. The insanity did not have far to spread as this sheltered workshop for the retarded is after all located in the state of New York which knowingly and happily harbors fat and stupid DeBlasio and that mental midget Cuomo!

  4. What the Far Left pulled off at Mizzou is being seen by them as a tremendous victory that is going to be repeated at as many US colleges and universities as can be arranged. I believe there is a hardcore group of people moving around the country orgainizing these uprisings to nobody’s good.

    This has the potential to get much, much worse. The only thing that will leaven this is an early winter with lots of snow and cold weather. These are fair-weather protesters, so things will likely calm down with the first serious snow, but stand the fuck by come Spring.

    Next Mayday will be a zoo.

  5. I’ve read that they will be targeting Greek Life off campus as being an institution of privilege. I expect they won’t stop till every cool place to party has been shuttered and college becomes a gulag.

  6. I am convinced that the Maoist Revolutionary Communist Party is behind all of this shit from Ferguson. to Stated Island to mizzou to Ithica. Check out Revcom.org and their manifesto. They are dedicated to the violent overthrow of our entire culture and our form of government. They have plenty of help within our government, our news media, our academics, and our politicians, most of whom are either blind, stupid, or totally gutless.

  7. Shut em down. PERIOD.
    Shut em down, send the brats home, fire the administrators, fire the professors, fire the adjuncts, keep the cleaning and maintenance staff.
    Get the Fed and State money out.
    Pay to Play.
    Return to Scholarship – jettison indoctrination.
    Jettison Crap Majors – any with “Studies” in the title.

    Literature.
    Physical Sciences.
    Philosophy.
    Medicine.
    Engineering.
    Mathematics and Computer Sciences.

    But it ain’t gonna happen, cuz the politicians are bigger cowards than the College Administrators.

  8. I’m with Tim above. If I were Mr. Rochon, all those causing commotion would be leaving next week with their records in hand and an application to another school. If they didn’t leave, then bring in the troops. No reason to put up with this crap. That other president should not have stepped down. He should have expelled those students, given them their tuition back and told them FU as they left.

  9. Uh, I read yesterday that the student body president at Missouri (senior moment, can’t remember his name) has shown up in the White House visitor log book four times in recent months.

    The White House is saying plenty, we just can’t hear it.
