Canada elections – live: Trudeau fights to keep power as polls show rival Scheer pulling ahead

The Independent-

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faces being forced from power as the country votes in parliamentary elections.

Polls are open across the nation after a fractious 40-day campaign, with results expected to start coming in later tonight.

It is expected to be a close result, with Mr Trudeau’s Liberal Party potentially losing to the rival Conservatives, according to current polls. Even if they win, the party may fail to keep hold of their majority and have to rely on a coalition to form a government.

  1. And Obama has a personal stake since he came out of the wilderness to endorse the black face extraordinaire. Someone should have told Justin that was the kiss of death.

  2. In the past when you thought of Canada thoughts of mounties and lumberjacks came to mind, now days what comes to mind is this yoga pants wearing twink prancing around while crowds of fairies grow faint giddily cheering him on.

If my country re-elects him I am burning my Flag, which has been upside down for the last 4 years(feels like 10) and I am increasing my prices to all my customers because obviously they have extra money to burn!

Well, it’s kind of like visions of America used be cowboys and rugged independent pioneers. I’d like it to be that again.

Canada used to be a fishing and hunting haven for some US sportsmen, such as Ted Williams, at the Miramichi River in New Brunswick where he fished for Atlantic salmon. They liked the beer too. The sportsmen, that is.

  5. Right on Tim!

I hope the CBC gets it’s budget reduced by at least $500,000,000. The only decent one on it was REX MURPHY. I want to see the “talent” doing community reporting for $38,000 per year and taking pubic transportation to their bullshit special interest stories.

And the icing on the cake would be if he lost his seat as well. I’m sure that would have me in fits of laughter for days.

The CBC has been out of touch for decades. My relatives from Canada visited us in the 1970’s and complained about the CBC cancelling a popular country-western music show. The CBC arrogantly claimed that it portrayed Canadians as a bunch of racist red-necks, and they took it off the air so that people would become more refined or some such garbage.
