China Agrees to Begin Trade Talks After Trump Delays Tariffs

Bongino:

Breaking news today occurred in trade talks between the United States and China. National Reviewreports the positive turn, “After several weeks in which negotiations over a potential trade deal between the world’s two largest economies had stalled, Chinese and U.S. officials spoke over the phone Tuesday.”

Reportedly “news of the reignited negotiations” arose after U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer’s office “announced the U.S. will delay a planned 10 percent tariff on $300 billion in Chinese imports.”

China and the United States have been back and forth relating to trade agreements and tariffs. “In May, the White House raised tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese imports from 10 percent to 25 percent, claiming Beijing had reneged on previously agreed terms of a trade deal.” China responded with increased tariffs of “up to 25 percent on $60 billion worth of U.S. products.” read more

  1. hopefully the chicoms will buy some porkbellies.

in other news, and it’s big, a second judge has taken a meat cleaver to the russia bullshit.

the first judge ordered mueller to stop blaming the russian gov’t for the social media stuff. Because mueller presented NO evidence.

Now the second judge is involved. This is in the Butowsky vs NPR lawsuit. The judge has ruled the case may proceed because NPR claimed the russians hacked the dnc server and they (drumroll) HAVE NO EVIDENCE.

Keep a watch on this, folks. It’s going to get good.

  2. Molon, what can we do for Hong Kong? Starting WWIII isn’t a good idea. Halting all trade with China wouldn’t be real popular. One of the wild cards in an armed conflict with China is that they have 100,000,000 single young men that there are no ladies for. China is looking for an opportunity to reduce their population. Taking out 100,000,000 men would be a success story for those commies.

  3. @ ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ and joe6pak. See CTH article today on Hong Kong. We can do nothing, and nothing about it is our business, no matter how many are waving U.S. flags. Hong Kong isn’t Great Britain any more. Sadly, it’s China.
