China Says It Will “Fight to the End” in Trade War

cbs news

China said Tuesday it would “fight to the end” and take countermeasures against the United States to safeguard its own interests after President Trump threatened an additional 50% tariff on Chinese imports. The Commerce Ministry said the U.S.’s imposition of “so-called ‘reciprocal tariffs'” on China was “completely groundless and is a typical unilateral bullying practice.”

China, the world’s second-largest economy, has imposed retaliatory tariffs and the ministry hinted in its latest statement that more may be coming. More

  1. @ Uncle Al, Hopefully. The Chinese economy is already on the verge of free falling because of the one child policy. Sadly history tells us that totalitarian regimes do quietly fade into history the lash out violently. I think this is why Xi has been saber rattling over Taiwan, he knows the demographic train wreck is about to body slam their economy and he needs a distraction that all too often means war.

I’m not sure who actually own Harbor Freight. But I’m thinking their eyes are not round. I read about six months ago where the were desperately try to find American manufacturers that could meet their price points. Good luck with that. It’s the epitome of Chicom engineering and manufacturing. Be sure and get that 36 hour warranty.

  6. You guys are in complete denial. U.S. consumers have a lot at stake wtih China. Pull your heads out of Trumps ass a few inches and you’ll understand that.

I voted for the guy, but c’mon.

  7. I’ve thought that Trump’s aggressive policy is also to foment at least a military skirmish with the CCP now, thinking better sooner than later.

If that is so, we better pray that Negseth has had enough time to de-FUBAR the military after 4 years of Shitpants (after 8 yrs of oBozo destruction too).

  8. The tariffs are short term pain and will be short term gain. I am inline with what Catherine Austin Fitts is saying.

“The Current Administration Was Put Into Place by the Bankers to Get the Control Grid Accomplished. It’s not technocracy. It’s slavery.”  Catherine Austin Fitts

Trump is really working for the tiny hat people. DOGE is just a smoke screen for bringing in AI Governance. De-dollarization will continue.

  9. Now we REALLY get to see how little they care about their citizens and how much they REALLY care about control and power. But then EVERY GOVERNMENT is that way…the reason they ALL need to go.

  10. China is bluffing and hoping evil RINOs like NC Senator Tom Tillis and others can persuade Congress to get involved in the tariff situation and of course, mess it up. Compromising with the CCP to keep China’s economy afloat -totally against US economic interests. Pray that never happens. President Trump has to be successful in forcing China to comply with his beneficial tarriff plans.

  11. Don’t most of our pharmaceuticals come from China? Maybe not the finalized version, but our US pharmacies are buying their ingredients from China.

This is happening in a lot of industries. How many computer chips are manufactured here in the US?

Processed foods include a lot of things we have no idea what they are … are they from China?

I’m not pro China, but we must get more of our manufacturing AND ingredients from the US until we can cheer for the downfall of China.

China and India. Pretty smart huh? Next we’ll be having China make our ammunition for the military. Wouldn’t the average person think this was a potential security risk? I would. Trump’s been warning big Pharma they better bring manufacturing back on shore. I guess we see if they’re serous.
