Commenter on FB Says He Was Taken Out of Context – Fire Department Doesn’t Believe Him and Fires Him

I’d like to fire the chief for his continual, and wrong, use of the word “slack.”  The idiot means to say “flak.”

When volunteer firefighter Kurtis Cook recently read a news story on Facebook, he went into the comment section and shared his thoughts.

Cook wrote this comment below a story about South Carolina alleged shooter Dylann Roof:

He needs to be praised for the good deed he has done.

A screenshot of his comment immediately went viral, with people calling him “racist,” but there may be more to the story than what the screenshot captured:

  1. Why do people continue to use FakeBook anyway?
Do they think their comments are that indispensable to the public discourse?
Anybody who engages in this nonsense should know how petty and dishonest people can be.
I have zero sympathy for this guy.

  2. The moron calling out the commenter by CALLING HIM AT THE FIRE STATION needs to be prosecuted. What happened to legit fire calls when the line was tied up about this idiocy?

  3. Market Capitalization of Fecesbook has surpassed that of Walmart. Let’s load up the family wagon and go pick up some essentials. What’s that you say, Facebook doesn’t sell essentials? Well, let’s go throw down the Walmart revenue to Facebook. Oh, shit, even if Walmart gave all their revenue to Facebook, Facebook couldn’t come up with the product to sell.

So, you see zero tolerance on Facebook from distinguished establishments.

But, you can walk around like a half dressed, drunk goof at Walmart and be normal.

    No, everything is normal. Goofs.

  4. Dude should have been given the benefit of the doubt before canning him over that stupid bullshit.

“he” is a third-person personal pronoun which could refer to anyone, in that context.

    Bruce Jenner
    Rachael Madcow
    Caitlyn Jenner
    Hillary Clinton
    Donald Trump
    &c.

Had Cook written: “Dylann Roof should be praised for the …”

It would be quite a different deal.
