New York’s scandal-ridden Democratic governor, Andrew Cuomo, allegedly ordered his state’s health officials to prioritize his family members for COVID-19 testing.
Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker and Gov. Cuomo, who is already facing numerous calls to resign, allegedly directed public health officials to ensure the governor’s relatives received preferential care.
Powerful elites with ties to his administration and members of the Cuomo family, including his brother, CNN host Chris Cuomo, one of their sisters, and their mom, Matilda Cuomo, were tested several times during the early days of the pandemic, the Albany Times-Union reported.
The testing was done by high-level members of the New York Health Department, often at private homes, the newspaper said, citing three sources with direct knowledge of the matter. more
