A couple in Florida got out of their car and beat up a guy holding a “Death To America!” sign.
The back of his sign said, “because of Obama’s policies.”
One wonders if this entire ridiculous fight could have been prevented had the guy turned his sign around.
Regardless, a “Death To America!” sign is covered under the 1st amendment. The lovely couple will probably get charged with assault.

Should have printed the full message on one side. Kind of a lame protest sign design, unless you’re fishing for a lawsuit (like the one this video will likely bring).
The attackers are lucky the guy wasn’t armed. They do deserve to be shot for attacking him.

What did the couple say was the reason they attacked?
They didn’t. They were not interviewed.
People tend to forget that the First Amendment only protects your speech when it comes to governmental laws, and not from other things (employer retaliation, e.g.). And certainly not against idiots like these. That’s what assault laws are for.
