People are like WTF are you pointing that thing at me for..?
Don’t see too many smiles either.

You’re gonna be famous some day, kid.

Love it!
Interesting how a camera, a fairly new device, causes some people to goof off!

This looks like a film that was sharpened, upscaled to 60 fps, and colorized. There are many films on YouTube that have gone through those processes.
I am not generally a big fan of the colorizing — not for the philosophical reasons as I would be for a feature film, but rather because the colorizing is interpreted from the grey scale. Some of the films fluctuate so much that it makes you feel like you are taking an acid trip.
I have also found that upscaling the frame rate really only works for high quality sources. If the image is not perfectly clear then you don’t really see the effect.
Some of them almost look like a modern video shot today.
1940’s race cars — this one shows the colorizing problem a little and the bounsing frame from the image stabilization can be disconcerting: https://youtu.be/Rkirch8Sk2s

Charlie WalksonWater: Yes, you are looking at the voter roles in blue areas.

I love the involvement of the photographer in this scene – final duel in My Name is Nobody. 1899, per the gravestone. https://youtu.be/4wAkgsjexHs
And of course music by Ennio Morricone.

RadioMatt I enjoyed watching those track t’s going neck and neck and breaking their necks with very few roll bars.
They were all like “what, me worry?”

Because you are a dog person. That was a nice looking collie. Before they were ruined by show breeders.

“Why do I focus on the dog when I see old footage? ‘
The dog makes it real.

The dog seems to be a visitor from the present. The people all look old fashioned because of their apparel, but the dogs look exactly the same as today’s dogs.

You know what’s really creepy about all that old footage?
They’re all DEAD.

Where are the protesters?

Anyone notice the kid on the left side wearing wooden shoes? (:30) I thought that was just a myth.

“They’re all DEAD.”
Or are they? 👻👻👻

They are colorizing photos from the Civil War now as well.

I always hoped time travel would make it for me in time, but looks like I’ll have to go with old photos and film. The grass always looks greener, but this week travel into the future looks like the grass is dying in America.

They all had the look on their face as if they are seeing something from another planet. They look fat and happy. Dressed appropriately, didn’t see any tats, blue or pink hair. I wanna go back to those days because I think in today’;s world the camera is capturing creatures from another planet. That was fun BFH.

@Left Coast Dan: What struck me on your video, were all the people standing around behind the cameraman and the shooter. Weren’t they afraid of a stray bullet? Killings from the beginning of time were crowd pleasers. I shouldn’t analyze these films like I do. 🙂
Technically, this is time travel. It’s read only memory however. Thank God for that cause we have a tendency to repeat old data anyways. Call it a bug.
Lots of bugs have turn to virus in D.C and some states.
