  22. I lived in Augusta until I was 14 when we moved south. Some observations of 1975 when we moved: The place would go nuts the week of the Master’s. One of the infamous local attractions was the old slave market whipping post. It was supposedly cursed as anybody that got traction for removing it suddenly died. The the young adult hot spot was a club called “The Whipping Post”.
