I ask about context because I’m pretty sure the part about Occasional Cortex is way out of context. There is no way he called her, and socialism, “the future.”

Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson set straight any misinformation concerning his views on President Trump: “I don’t think he’s capable,” he said during an interview on Tuesday.
Carlson said he cannot stand Trump’s self-aggrandizement and boasting. Then, when asked whether Trump has kept his promises, the usually quick-witted and long-winded Carlson had just one word: “No.”
“His chief promises were that he would build the wall, defund Planned Parenthood and repeal Obamacare, and he hasn’t done any of those things,” Carlson said, adding that those goals were probably lost causes. Trump, he said, doesn’t understand the system, and his own agencies don’t support him.
“He knows very little about the legislative process, hasn’t learned anything, hasn’t surrounded himself with people that can get it done, hasn’t done all the things you need to do, so it’s mostly his fault that he hasn’t achieved those things,” he added.

I see what you mean about context, BFH. Given the details on all the things that the president has achieved and why he hasn’t, simply stating Socialism is “the future” seems uncharacteristically vague. Tucker would usually add why, for who and the consequences if we don’t put a stop to it.
Tucker is also equally unafraid to state where the president has succeeded. So that’s a glaring omission.
I think all the complaints about the president are accurate and all members of congress need to be reminded of their own failings to support this president every day that they hold elected office.
I don’t think this represents Tucker slamming President Trump as much as he is reflecting the reality that even someone as lucid and capable as a President Trump is unable to defeat the entrenched deep state.
