Does Russia plan to fool the west with tank-shaped balloons?

JTN– Does Vladimir Putin plan to fake out the West with inflatable tanks, missiles, and fighter aircraft?

Reports in the British media on Thursday described a realistic balloon army that puffed up this week as part of a Russian military exercise in the woods near Moscow.

“The inflatable equipment is nearly identical to the original thanks to the use of special materials,” a British publication quoted the Russian military as saying. “It also has the same radiation background so that an enemy does not notice the deception.” more here

  1. Why would they bother waging any direct war with the West.

They make a Killing with electronic financial fraud, data theft, and bitcoin mining etc. all under the protection of their leader and cowardice of ours.

  2. Meanwhile, Britain is busy floating Baby Trump balloons over London, and half of Europe’s tanks and planes might as well be inflatables because they’re broke down. President Trump tried to get NATO to stand up, but got stonewalled by the Atlantic Council, so here we are.

  3. I don’t think Russia would even want to ever invade Europe.

Why would they want to deal with Soy-boys, Religious Extremism, Social Welfare, and Communists.

They are a effectively a Dictatorship/Oligarchy with Ultra Rich who just Buy up London & other prime real estate at will with money they earn/ steal/ create at the expense of the west.

At this point the Liberal countries of Europe need a babysitter and east European have no patience for pussification.

  4. “The Russian Ministry of Defense did not respond to emailed queries from Just the News.”

That is something that should come as a surprise.

In any event, dummy tanks and other military equipment to draw fire away from the real ones should be expected. As Sun Tzu points out, the art of war is the art of deception.

  5. While stationed in the UK at RAF Alconbury during the Cold War, it was my job as an imagery interpreter to locate and positively identify all Warsaw Pact military equipment using images obtained by low flying RF-4C Phantoms jets. The Ruskies were always trying to deceive us but we were very good at what we did and efforts like this were a waste of time.

  6. Patton’s fake army at the Calais crossing was balloon tanks and airplanes.
Worked for the Americans. Kept the 15th German Army tied down until after the Normandy breakout.

And Vlad’s pretty certain that our Armed Farces are too busy with Fags, Trans-whatevers, and pregnancy flight suits to worry about him.
