Breitbart: President Donald Trump boasted that the Democrats were giving him a political gift after they voted against a bill that would fund the government late Friday night.
“This is the One Year Anniversary of my Presidency and the Democrats wanted to give me a nice present,” Trump wrote on Twitter with the hashtag #DemocratShutdown.
Trump challenged Democrats for focusing more on amnesty for illegal immigrants than funding the government.
“Democrats are far more concerned with Illegal Immigrants than they are with our great Military or Safety at our dangerous Southern Border,” he wrote. “They could have easily made a deal but decided to play Shutdown politics instead.”

We are going to have to insist that the Annual Budget be ready by October 1 each year for the beginning of the fiscal year. Enough of the continuing resolutions and end of year drama. Obama started this by never making a budget and it has to stop!

1. I hate the government, and would prefer it just run the military and maintain our Constitutional rights.

Complaining about the absence of a budget makes no sense at all given that the govt has no actual, accurate bookkeeping of the trillions it sucks up and spends.

@Uncle Al, we don’t even know exactly how many federal agencies there are, let alone what they truly cost, especially with all the funds “mislabeled” to hide them from oversight.
Shut it down…. they commit less carnage that way. Need a few caveats though, namely: 1) Congressional and alphabet salaries cease without back-pay, 2) all federal taxes suspended (with no catch-up)until a BUDGET is reached. F#CK ‘EM!
