Duke Not Allowing Freshman To Freely Choose Dorm Roommates – IOTW Report

Duke Not Allowing Freshman To Freely Choose Dorm Roommates

Here’s another wonderful idea by progressive pinheads. They are forcing freshman students to live with whom Duke decides they have to live with.

Does this happen in the real world? Not yet, thanks to freedom loving crazy right-wingers. (It’s time to remind society that we are the front line that preserves sanity in society.)

This idea seems to be pissing off everyone.  Here’s a black student’s gripe-

Washington Examiner:

“I love the idea of students from different socioeconomic backgrounds and races coming together because that’s how cultural competency happens. But, as a black person coming from a low socioeconomic background, the potential of living with a rich white male is terrifying,” Briggs tweeted.

“There are so many cultural things that would have to be taught to my roommate to have a comfortable living experience. And I do not have to work for the school to make sure some ignorant student learns how to be a better attribute to the community,” Briggs added.

Ohhhhhhhhhh. This is not a good idea because the white guy needs reeducation before he’s tolerable to be around.

What if this was the white student’s comment about the black roommate?

  1. Collective hive mentality.

Conditioning them to passively accept sharing personal space with whichever other drone units randomly assigned.

Ironically it’s now the blacks who now say they are “terrified” at the possibility of being assigned to a (shudder) White roommate.

  2. Diogenes, I remember when Duke was considered a good school.

As a parent paying tuition I would consider this lack of choice a deal killer. Too many druggies, trannies and other psychos now to risk my kid’s first experience away from home on a roll of someone else ‘s dice.
    No way.

  3. It’s DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK (a.k.a. – the University of New Joisey @ Durham); there are NO poor ANYBODIES there. For the kids not smart enough to get into an Ivy League school, their parents think paying $50k+ a year for college is a, “status symbol.” 🙄

“Great. Put a liberal feminist lesbian in with a football player. It will make a woman out of her.”

You DO know how they separate the men from the boys there at DOOOK, don’tcha?

    With a crowbar… 😳

    D’OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  5. Back in the 60s when parental urging made me toy with the idea of going to college (I wised up fairly quickly), dorm room assignments for freshmen was always assigned at the handful schools I considered. Sophomores and higher who lived in dorms (there were a few but not many) did have roommate choice, but not freshmen.
