The only concern I have with using an AR for home defense is spring fatigue in the magazine. Otherwise, with the right ammo, I’ve read it’s less likely to over-penetrate and harm neighbors than a typical pistol. And, of course, a rifle is always going to be more effective in my opinion.
There are rumors floating on the web the home owner was a seller of MJ, so this could get complicated.
How could they miss her?
I would recommend purchasing some fangible ammo for any home defense weapon.

And now that woman faces three 1st degree murder charges. Oklahoma has a death penalty, but I think she’ll up with life sentence or maybe even big life (life without parole). She deserves it.
Oh, and she should pay the homeowner for damage to the house, cleanup expenses and to replace the ammunition used.

Cripes! If our laws worked and our judges did THEIR JOBS! all of these crooks would have probably been incarcerated in a juvenile center before this and innocent home owners wouldn’t have their lives disrupted having to kill people who break into their homes!! I knew someone who shot an intruder and killed him (he hadn’t intended to kill him). It really effed up this young father’s life for awhile, he felt terrible about it. No one really talks about that part. Even gun crime victims who end up killing perps should receive support.

I have no sympathy for the families of those killed. The four of the delinquents were wrong 100%. They were wearing masks, had gloves are were dressed in all black. They were up to no good and died for it. The girl gets to rot in prison. At least she won’t have any more kids.
