Yesterday we posted their parody of Adele’s “Hello,” a lament about overeating and not wanting to exercise.
In this parody of “Blurred Lines” they take on “Church Signs.”
I almost dumped this post. I was putting it together while watching the rest of the video.
Making fun of church signs is open game, they are often corny and are “punny jokes.” So, we’re all in on it when we poke fun, it doesn’t make us anti-Church. But one of the lyrics is “right-wing votin'” and it doesn’t seem like good-natured fun. It sounds more like a statement that teeters on being anti-church because the place is filled with people he doesn’t like.
In another parody about social media based on The Circle of Life, one of the lyrics is, “They like the Donald, ewww, unfriend.”
It’s a shame. We found these two and really liked their singing and was prepared to promote them, but not now. They have to get their political jabs in. They made their choice, now I’m making mine.
Hope you made sure they saw your comments.
Are there any professional recording artists that aren’t crazy liberals?
THAT
is the BEST way
to have started my weekend!
Thanks, Fur!
(It’s got that Marvin Gaye GROOVE…and I’m from D.C…..)
I noticed that, too. Oh well.
I did see a Mormon duo doing, “Hello” that was pretty frickin’ funny, though.
